flagstaff mac fridge problem

Hello,

First time owner of a new to me popup. 2009 Flagstaff mac208.. Took it out for 1st time run. Pulled up to rv lot. hooked up shore power. Everything worked fine. Except for Fridge, pulled panel cover to double check control panel. Propane was in off position and both 120v(green) and 12v(red) were flip to on position. Disconnected shore power and attempted to turn off both switches. Now only Red12v clicks to off. Green120V does not click off. It flips back to on when pressed to off.

Does anyone have any insight to my problem?

How long did you let it run on shore power?
These fridges need a full day to cool down.

Fridge was cooling on 12v during transport for an hr or so. Once connected to shore power, i noticed fridge stopped cooling. Thats when i checked panel. shore power was connected about 15mins.

seemed to stop working. now i cannot flip 120v switch to off position. click it to "off", it flips back to "on".

On these domestic fridges is there possibly a blown fuse on fridge itself i may be overlooking? or Blown switch due to having both 12v and 120v on at same time?

Not sure why you cannot flip the 120 switch to Off, but I do know they tell you to not run the fridge on two different modes at the same time. Possibly with both 12V and 120V on at the same time something got screwed up in the controller.


As for how long it takes to cool, from my experience, 12V is the slowest to cool; and 120V and Propane are the fastest. I cool the fridge down on 120V the day before a trip, the run 12V while traveling, then switch to propane as soon as I arrive at the site (I very seldom have any power where I camp).

Might try to turn the 120V control knob, I believe counterclockwise, until it clicks to zero cooling and see if that helps.

no go on resetting the knob to zero. maybe switch replacement.
