Flagstaff roof lifts leaking green lubricant

I have a 2014 Flagstaff Mac 206ST. Is it normal for the bottom of the roof lifts to leak a greenish lubricant, mainly after setting up or taking down? It is usually enough to leave a few spots on the driveway. Just wondering.

(In the attached picture, the green stuff has dripped down the lift cable pipe from the welded area around the mounting plate.)

In case anyone is interested, I wrote Goshen, the maker of the lift system about it. They replied that when it is hot out, it is possible for some oil to leak out of the holes in the bottom of the spring tube. Other than a nuisance, it isn't a problem, they said.
