Ft. Wilderness

We have planed to visit the Fort in March.......we had Dec. plans for there and our 8 year old son decided it would interfere with his Christmas haul. Anyone have any insight as to "avoid this" and "Don't miss that". We have somewhat planned to do a park one day.....hang out at the Fort the next day for the week we are there.

Get the I phone app I think it is all ears. It tells you where and when to go.

I would also recommend the Undercover Tourist app. You can see wait times for rides and setup a schedule that can be helpful. It has info for all 4 parks there.

Highly recommend your plan of park one day, hang out at Fort the next day...you'll be much more refreshed for the next park day.

As others stated, get the Disney apps FR your phone...very helpful.

Nights at the Fort go by fast with all their activities:
-campfire sing a long near dusk
-Disney outdoor movie after sing a long
-catch lighted boat parade on lake at beach area around 9:30pm
-watch Magic Kingdom fireworks from Fort beach area around 10pm
Whew...get to bed and start early in the am to do it all over again!

We'll be there first week of April, leave the campground in a presentable shape for us when we arrive! LOL

We are headed there in a couple of weeks. Is the lighted boat parade every night? And is the Magic Kingdom Fireworks from the beach the best way to view them.

Yes to the lighted boat parade.

Another neat (ableit expensive) way to see the fireworks is to get dinner reservations for Ohana's so that you're there for the fireworks.

Yes, the boat parade is every night.
Watching the fireworks from the Fort beach is more convenience, you miss the music, low flashing fireworks and all the characters. IMO, once you have done the firework show inside MK once or twice, it's neat to just watch the large fireworks from a distance at the beach.
