fuse lights on converter

There are red lights next to the fuses on my converter. What are these lights for?

The LED should light to indicate a blown fuse.

Just has been said the light should show when a fuse is blown. On our unit I have seen several fuses blow and no red light. Not sure I understand why. Can any one help?

One would think to test you could pull a fuse and the red led would lite for your blown fuse indicator. When I pull a fuse it doesn't light up on my Windjammer. So my panel possibly isn't working either???? From what I remember (could be wrong) my 2010 Keystone all the light were lite and when a fuse blew the red led went out. Could be totally wrong....

update:
I pulled the TV amp fuse the RED LED did not light up. It was because the AMP as not on and pulling any voltage. Turned the AMP button to its on position and the RED LED lite with the fuse removed. Tested some others same results. If the circuit is not using any voltage the lights won't light.

Should be dark under normal conditions and light when blown, not all units have red lights as fuse blown indicators or any blown fuse indicators, Some units could also be wired so the red stays on unless it blows then they turn off,

There is a small circuit that detects that fuse is not conducting electricity by allowing a small leakage current to go through the circuit ( light etc) then lighting the LED. If there is not a path for the leakage current ( ie light shut off at switch) the LED will not light.

Thanks

Now it all makes sense. and answers why you will see a small voltage in the circuit with the blown fuse.
