Gizmos Ordered!

Woohoo! Just ordered our Gizmos for our Freedom 1950, new last year. Went with the velcro option, also plan to epoxy-coat the inner wood of the roof before attaching the velcro. Anything else I should be aware of? This is our first Pup, loving it so far. Had to add the memory foam pads to the mattresses, though. Beats the crap out of sleeping on the ground!

The Gizmos are a great investment! You will not regret that purchase. We purchased a Shamrock 25RS about 3 years ago and sold our popup. I miss it sometimes but it is so much easier setting up and taking down in the new camper. I also bought the bunk end liners to go with my Gizmos and they worked great too. I am one that likes to take an afternoon nap and they help keep out the light so I can snooze! Good luck and Happy Camping!!

Thanks, glad to be a member here. We had decided tent camping was for younger bodies- this is our first camper, and something tells me it won't be our last! Dang those RV shows!

I have been looking at these also. I'm not sure why I'm waiting to purchase them! First pup for me as well. Coming from a 32ft TT and I like the ease of maneuvering this pup. A bit more setup but not bad!

I looked at these for awhile also, I think the wind protection is good, for me I was also concerned with protecting the bunk ends from the environment (sun, tree sap, bird poop, ect).

My main goals with the Gizmos were to alleviate the heat buildup in the bunk ends, and hopefully not have the daylight sear my eyeballs the second the sun comes up! Hadn't even thought about protecting the canvas- heck of a deal!
