Got a 2013 HW27KS Today / AC Question

I finished the deal on a 2013 hw27ks today from a private seller. Its been used three times and I got a good deal. The inside stove/oven has never even been used and overall the thing still smells new.

Today was rather hot in Atlanta, but still, it took several hours to get the temp down. Not until late this afternoon did it actually cool inside. It has a Coleman Mach 15K BTU AC. Is this way its going to be? Summertime campsites with lots of shade I guess is the way to go.

Anyone used those gizmos that go over the top of the bunks to reflect sun?

I plan on getting the gizmos. Hopefully this summer. I'm in Atlanta also and it was HOT today. I usually pick Good shady sites just for this reason

Absolutely get the Gizmos, great product with more pluses than just temp regulation.
Also consider Reflectix in the tent end windows.

We spent last week in Panama City and the AC worked great. We setup camp in the evening so it wasn't too hot. The AC ran all week even when we went to the beach. I only needed it turned up half way and it kept the popup nice and cool.

You will find that anything you do to help prevent heat build up is beneficial. I also live in the Atlanta area and yes it will take some time to cool. Try going out later in the day to avoid mid day heat also. One of the reasons I traded campers was to have two ACs. Later RJD
