Went ahead and ordered the grill. Should be here tomorrow and will give it a go this weekend. Will also test fit the thermostat and verify the new pizza bag will hold the BAL level chock and BAL chock :-)

The Olympian grill performed very well this weekend. Unfortunately the thermometer was broken but will call camco to replace it. Nice even heat and a massive cast plate below the grill for heat and searing drippings. Finally, the drip tray caught drips haha.

Best part, is the stock short lp hose reaches no problem unlike the silly rvq. It's no weber q, but it's well ahead of the rvq. Any manufacturer putting in the rvq should be ashamed of distributing it, clearly they aren't campers nor are the any type of outdoor cook.

IMHO, if you want simplicity of hooking up a capable and predictable grill to house lp, it's worth it, very much so.
If you love to grill, you have a better grill already.
If you are willing to compromise slightly reduced grilling performance in a portable grill (Weber Q as comparison) for having a grill on the rail using house lp, this is a vast improvement to rvq while still doing a very decent job cooking.

I'm pleased with this purchase and would recommend this grill to anyone wanting to bail on the rvq in favor of keeping a rail mount grill.

It's not perfect but gets the job done.
