I have a 2014 forest River Rockwood Freedom 1940 Ltd and was cleaning it and noticed it has a puncture in the roof is have not noticed any damage to the interior. I have not made insurance claim yet was wondering what to expect for worse case and best case scenario cost to fix due to my deductible....
If it's just one small hole they will probably just put a patch over it and seal it. May not be worth an insurance claim for just one hole.
Especially if you have a deductible.
You can patch it yourself using Eternabond tape.
Usually Walmart sells patches in the RV department.

Ever park under large trees? Last year in the Windriver range, I had a pine tree limb embed itself in the roof causing a hole approx. .75 inch diameter. Gorilla tape got me through the rest of the camping trip, but when I got home, I filled the hole with Proflex and placed a 3x3" eternabond patch over it. It has never leaked again, and I have been in some nasty thunderstorms and all day rains.
Just make sure where the tape will be it is clean.

Thanks for input ....I'm concerned about water damage that might not be visible from inside camper when I had it opened up ..I'm not sure on the construction of the outer shell my deductible is 500.00 and I'm in process of trying to sell it to by a bass boat for tournament fishing .it does have a clear title so just up in the air on weather to patch It or go ahead and have it sent to dealer to fix ....
Would like to see a pic. Perhaps someone can make a suggestion based on what we see. If it is only one or two holes. Just buy Marine Epoxy. Will dry up harder than anything else. Also is a great water sealer and will last forever.
