Hanging pantry for high wall pop up

Hi. I am picking up my new hw276 next weekend and debating if it's worth $100 to get the hanging pantry....is it a must have for storage? Anyone with a cheaper alternative?

We couldn't get by without the hanging storage. Our 2516g came with two hanging storage units. Both are filled with food and toiletries on every trip.

I have the hanging pantry and find it very useful for paper products and do not have to unload it to store. I put about 6" of decorative chains on the roof loops to lower the pantry, much easier to install after the roof is up. $100 seems pricey, i bought mine from a member here for $25.00.

I loved ours but agree too high on ceiling- love the lowering chains idea.

We love our pantry and the wardrobe. They are definitely worth the cash.

Congrats on your new unit. You will love it.

Are going to drill into the ceiling? If so, is there any kind of studded support between the ceiling and roof .The reason I ask is, I ordered a coat/towel rack that mounts to the ceiling, and want to make sure it will hold up. thanks

Did your unit not come with the hanger rack? I thought all of the rockwoods had those.

My screws for the hanging wardrobe go directly into the roof. No special location other than they put them over certain cabinates.

Vin.

vin, I think the Premiers came with a rack, but not the Freedoms. I was thinking the door tracks must have some support in the ceiling to hold the weight of the door, and just thought they may have put some type of stapling through out the ceiling.

If you are looking for a hanging pantry head to Target and look at their closet Hanging Organizers. I found this sweater organizer yesterday for a whooping $16 with tax. If it is too small there are several longer ones that could easily be trimmed to whatever size fits best.
