heated mattress controller
Not sure if anyone is looking to replace the heated mattress controller in their PUP - I had a little trouble finding one online for my 2018 HW27SC and easily found one from the manufacturer Thermosoft. Mine was an ETL-2 model. I did a quick online chat on their website www.thermosoft.com and gave the model number; they called me in 2 minutes and paid over the phone (16.99 + shipping).

Good to know, why did you have to replace it?

It basically fell apart; the screw mounts broke. I glued it together but figured I would buy a new one just in case. Can always keep the original as a backup if they ever go out of production.

I have never used mine. I'm not sure we would feel any heating though, because we have a 2" thick piece of memory foam on our mattress.

That's what I've read from other mattress topper users. I wouldn't even attempt to use one with a topper, might burn it up. My electric blanket at home specifically says to NOT place another blanket on top of it. I do, but it's a thin comforter, and I never dial it up past 3 out of 10. Then it gets too hot and i have to turn it off.

Used a foam topper on our heated mattress, in our hybrid, for 10 years and NEVER an issues.
Many owners do safely and still feel the warmth.
The wattage is very low.

Good to know. I have a Temperpedic at home and like the memory foam. Now if I can find one for my shortened version of a full size mattress on my Murphy bed....

I opted for 1 inch dense foam exercise mat (the 3' puzzle pieces)underneath the mattress so I can use the heat and works well. The foam is dense but adds enough comfort and also insulates from cold underneath as an added bonus.

We are looking for exactly this. Just bought a 2006 Rockwood Roo with the heated mattresses, but no control. Don’t know if these can still be found, but just wondering how you learned the model number?

I had the controller but it was broken and it had the model number on the back. you may want to call thermasoft - their customer support was very helpful and they may be able to identify which one you need.

Got my PUP setup today, bought it a month ago used and this is first warm weather we've had to do it. I plugged in the heated mattresses and they didn't warm up.
I checked the voltage coming out of the temp controllers and had line voltage. I OHMED out the matress heaters and the middle pin to the right hand pin had about 280 ohms resistance. There was an open circuit one the middle pin to the left hand pin.
Both mattresses measured the same. Also the plug ins for both mattresses were very tight, hard to get the plug in.
I left both turned on for about 30 mins, I thought I felt a couple warm spots on the mattresses, but overall nothing.
Do these normally heat up quickly and how warm do they get.
Thanks,
Ben

They aren't like a electric blanket.
They warm slowly and work better when you are sleeping on it.

These things only put out about 150 watts, about what a good light bulb puts out, only spread out over the mattress. You will NOT be able to put your hand on them and feel heat like an electric blanket.
Try putting a blanket on the mattress, turn it on high for about 15 minutes, then crawl under the blanket. You should feel some heat then.
They don't really "feel" warm, but after we've gotten into bed, we've had to turn ours down in our Roo when it was 45F outside.

agreed - we will put ours on high about an hour before turning in, and a lot of times will need to turn it down a bit after 3 hours or so. They don't get hot but definitely keep the chill away.
