Heater
Question. I turned on my propane tank and tried to light the pilot light and nothing is happening. No spark. And ideas?

give us a little more information about what we're talking about make, model, year? there should be a thermostat somewhere that controls the heater. if the thermostat is not telling the heater to turn on, there won't have a spark

Did you try lighting the stove to see if you're getting LP flow? Maybe you turned the LP tank valve on too quickly. Try turning it off, waiting a few minutes, then turn it back on slowly and try your furnace again. Does your thermostat have a battery? Does it have a good charge?

I have a 2004 Flagstaff pop up and mine looks pretty much the same. if your thermostat is working properly it should do two things once the thermostat is raised up: turn on your blower then start a time sequence for the igniter the starting igniting. sounds it as is the thermostat may not be working..

no those controls are for your refrigerator. if your stove is working that means you're getting gas. did you find out if the blower fan motor is turning on when you raise the thermostat.

Ok. I took out the fuse and put it back in and the heater kicked on and then the pilot light and I'm getting heat. But... what is the button on the left in the middle picture? Its not for my fridge I dont think.

Many heaters like that have a DSI (direct spark ignition) that only lights when thermostat tells it to run. If it doesn't get propane to fire in a few seconds it faults and shuts down. To get it going again shut it off then back on again and the fault will clear. Just do this once or twice and propane should reach the burner and light. The DSI should be audible while it attempts lighting and ignition also a noticeable sound.
Propane should last couple days per 20lbs bottle in cool temps but the problem will be the blower fan. It sucks back a lot if power and if on battery 12v it won't last as long as the propane. Also, and make special note of this, it has been my finding that this deficient battery event will almost certainly coincide with the coldest night at the darkest hour and likely in the rain while you are at the peak of need for sleep. I'm sure the popup engineers designed it this way laughing to themselves as they drifted off to sleep in their warm beds hugging their soft pillows goodnight. There are many solutions to this predicament but none that are consoling at the time. Just remember: it's all part of the fun.
