hole in roof, best way to repair?
Hi everyone,
This weekend, we had the pop up out, and a gust of wind flipped the porch awning over the top of the camper, and the awning frame where the poles fold into popped a hole in the roof of the camper, about 1/2 x 1.5 inches. It looks like a thin layer of fiberglass over styrofoam insulation. The foam is dented, but not that bad. What would be the best way to repair it? Do RV dealers sell repair kits? Should I use some type of advesive caulking and fill the hole in? Right now we put duct tape over it to feep water from getting in.
I think its a 228D with a slide out, can't remember the model, we don't keep it at our house. We bought it new last year. I think the next step is to replace the plastic ball and sockets for the awning poles with metal brackets of some sort, something a little stronger.
Any help would be much appreciated
