Hot water tank

Can someone tell me which way the hot water tank bypass needs to be up or flipped horizontally when I am flushing out all my anti freeze from winter?

Purge your lines in the (Winter Position),then place in (Summer Position) to fill the W/H. The Bypass line should be closed and the H&C open to tank for Summer use! Youroo!!

I don't know your camper at all, but as a general rule.
If the valve is parallel with the water line, it is open, if it is at 90 degrees to the water line it is closed.

on mine there are 3 valves and the valve handles points in the same direction as the pipe when open and form a t when closed. Until you get clear water out all the faucets, both hot and cold, don't touch the bypass so you don't get antifreeze in the hot water tank. Once you get this close the bypass and open the other 2 valves on mine.

Ok my bypass is making a t. My other ones are going with the pipes. So I can turn water pump on now and and flush all the anti freeze out? And it won't go in my hot water tank?

Can you take a pic of them.
I think you have it backwards right now but not sure.
Your bypass should be OPEN (parallel) and the others closed (T). But I am not positive of your set up.

Ok
The red valve is in the right position, put the blue one in the same, can't tell from the pic what it is in.
The valve with teh red and blue connection should be parallel with the hoses, it looks like it is.
That will bypass your hot water tank.

Yeah both hot and cold are going in the same direction. Away from the pipe and bypass in going with the pipe.

You got it then.
Your hot water tank is bypassed in this position.

You have it exactly right.
The blue (cold) is the incoming water and the red (hot) is the outgoing.
You have them both turned off now, and the line between them allows the water to pass through so to speak without going in your tank.

Now I have another question. I have de winterized my pop up. Now I am ready to flush out the hot water tank. So im assuming I open both hot and cold water lines and let the water from my holding tank go through the tank and pull the plug to let it drain out all old water or other liquids?

Yes, just make sure you turn the bypass valve so it is "off".
Then you can fill up the hot water tank and drain it if you want.
Don't have it on when you drain it.

Reverse all 3 valves to close the bypass and open the hot and cold lines from/to the water heater.
