How to de-winterize my camper

Well I got the drain plug in (finally). Although I noticed it sticks out ever so slightly, just enough so I can see 1 row of threads. Is that right? I don't ever recall how it was before. I switched the bypass switch and the tank filled with water and is not leaking, so I imagine it's in correctly.

Yes, it does not go in all the way. Just snug it up so it does not leak under pressure. The Teflon will keep it sealed.

Huh, I don't have a good photo of one seated with the threads showing.
Need to rectify that.

Oh good. Sounds like I got it right. I did notice something weird though. When I turned on the hot water faucet with the hot water heater bypass turned off and the water pump on, the pump was acting kind of unusal. Is it because it's both filling the hot water tank and building up pressure at the same time?

No, you need to turn your water bypass back to the pump. Right now it is set to suck in the rv anti freeze. Switch the valve near your pump and it will work normally.

Most likely it is fine. If it does not turn off then you may have a suction side air or pressure side water leak.

I think the part where I’m confused is where you put the hot water heater back into service. Is the purpose for this part of the instructions to check for leaks? I guess I don’t understand why you can’t do the same with the city water hooked up.
