There are thousands of generator posts/threads here, cause this question is asked about every week.

What do you want to run?
2000w inverter generator will run everything but the a/c.

Brand varies on budget.

Not inappropriate, just redundant.
This exact question gets asked several times per week.
You didn't specify if you had done a search before posting, hence the suggestion to do so.
If, after searching and reading many days worth of suggestions about this very same topic you are unable to get a specific question(s) answered, fire away with your query and there will be many here willing to help.

No, it's not inappropriate at all. I think sometimes the members who frequent this forum regularly might forget what it's like to be new to a forum. Search is your friend and within the 'Tent Campers and Popups' forum, there is the ability to search and when I enter in 'Generator' one of the results was the following thread, which might be helpful to you:

I'm sorry you were made to feel like you did something wrong and I hope you won't be afraid to try again if you have questions

Generator questions may happen every week but not necessarily as they relate to use for popups - the last thread I found within that arena was back in May. I think it would be helpful for those familiar with this forum to be more tolerant/understanding of new forum members and not make them feel they've done something wrong asking a 'redundant' question. Not that you did that, but just in general

I'm running a Champion 3000 / 3500 watt. No issues with running anything. Camper is a 625D Flagstaff PUP . Its a bit loud for me, but then again I'm used to sleeping on the ground under a lean to just listening to the frogs and night critters.

Charger, that Contractor style genetator is fine if you're out in the boonies with no one around for a long distance or as an emergency power supply at home but it's totally inappropriate for a campground with neighbour's close by (unless you have a sound deadening box over it).

Marsh, if you camp in campgrounds, make sure you get an inverter type generator since they are much quieter. Also make sure that the campgrounds you frequent will allow use of generators.
