HW276 question

just purchased a 2010 HW276. I have two questions. First is I found a short round bar. What is it for. Second a flat panel about 12" wide and 20" long with a hole at the top. What is it for.

sink cover and outside stove support.

Thanks for the help. Sink cover works. I don't have an outside stove, mine is a grill. Not sure why they would include the support but this all works for me.
