Hw277 gvwr?
Okay....sorry to keep asking questions. The 277 has a dry weight just under 3,000 lbs. I was told by dealer the weight is around 3250 (I have to look for exact number). I assume that is because of the added AC, Heater, Awning, etc. FR says you can carry 862 in cargo. My question is if the AC, Awning, Heater come out of the 862 as well? It doesnt mention total GVWR. I am assuming those items further reduce what I can load up in the unit. I know I have to account for water and propane.

Yes, anything added by the dealer subtracts from your carry capacity as the dry weight is as it left the factory. If you add up the dry weight and the carry capacity, that would be the gvwr.

Okay....are the AC, Heater and Awning added by the dealer? Or does it matter where they were added...I suppose not.

I was wondering the same thing as I know my camper was ordered by the dealer with the ac installed at the factory. My listed dry weight is heavier than yours. But if you subtract the as is weight provided by the dealer from the gvwr, then you have how much you gear you can put in.

I may have gave the wrong impression. My unit isn't parked at home, so cannot check. If I am not mistaken, isn't the weight printed on the tag somewhere on the unit? If so, I think this is the weight the dealer verbally gave me. Either way it sounds like the max with all added stuff, whether FR added options, dealer options or my crap I put in there cannot exceed 3821 (2959 from FR website plus 862 cargo).

a/c, heater and awning are considered "options" by the manufacturer and are NOT included in the website/brochure "dry" weight number. so, yes, their weight comes out of the CCC number.
UNLESS your dry number is from the trailer's yellow sticker weight. that number is what it weighed when i left the factory, where the a/c, heater and awning were installed.
the 3250 number sounds like the yellow sticker weight, which includes the weights of those items.
3250-2962(brochure "dry" weight)= 288.
870(CCC)-288=582.
so, you have 582lbs. left over for water and cargo.
to get the GVWR, you add the website/brochure "dry" weight and the website/brochure CCC together.
that "dry" number is for a stripped-down trailer and usually does not include the weights of so-called "options".
the 3250 number should include the weight of propane.

Thanks....good answer. One last thing because I am rapidly getting close to GVWR. You said it should include the weight of the propane....do you mean filled or just the tanks?

i believe the yellow sticker includes 40lbs. of propane weight.
my trailer has the older white inside weight sticker, so not for sure on the newer yellow outside weight sticker.
should say on it.
that's why many of us tell newbies NOT to go by website/brochure numbers. they almost always never reflect real world numbers.
we always recommend looking at the trailer's actual yellow or white weight sticker. that will tell you what it actually weighs sitting on the dealer's lot, other than the battery or anything the dealer installed.

nope, because that's installed by the dealer, not the factory. so it's an dealer add-on.
no RV other than motorhomes, have batteries installed by the factory, as far as i know.
