HW296 Bike Rack

Anybody solve the dilemma of a bike rack for this pup? Interested in what others have come up with.

I haven't found anything desirable. I think I'm going to get the Thule bike rack that goes on a truck bed.

Yes, we are thinking of beefing up the rear bumper at a fab shop to accommodate a receiver tube.

I already own the pro rack bike option that they sell with these units. I am just gonna go with that. It worked well on my last HW.

I saw that it was on option to add it, but haven't been able to locate a pic of it and how it is installed. Could you maybe point me in the right direction?

Well I cannot add pics but here is link.

ProRac Proformance Tent Trailer Racks carry 2, 4, or 6 bikes without drilling into your tent trailer - www.racksforcars.com

It works really well and is easy to connect and disconnect. The base stays installed and the top "T" comes off with simple pins.

Vin.

That is sweet! Would have been nice 2 trailers ago...... when I had a pup.
Like those frame mounted racks!

Does it adjust tall enough for a high wall pup?

Yes. It is long enough to fit the high walls. I used it on my HW256.

It has 4-5 holes along the supports to select different heights. You slide it down a bit when you slide the bunks out to give you clearance. The top "T" portion slides into the bottom portion which is a larger diam. You simply align the holes and slide the pin thru. Very simple.

It is made out of lightweight aluminum and does not rust. I used mine for 9 years and never had any problems.

I highly recommend it. It also has quick release clamps on the top "T".

Front tires go in the TV or pop up. I carried mine in the back of the SUV.

Vin.
