HW29SC/HW296 Dual Axle, can the suspension be raised, and larger tires fitted?

I want to tow this with my SUV, and want to lift it a little, and fit bigger tyres.
Can it be done? Is there room already for a larger diameter tire?

Not sure what size tires you have, and when you mention bigger, are you wanting a bigger tire on the same wheel, or are you thinking of increasing wheel size also?

There might be some blocks you put between the axle and springs, if you have leaf springs, and the axles are below the springs. This would also require longer U Bolts. If the axles are above the springs, you could "flip" the axles, not turn them over, but have them moved to under the springs. (do a search on here for flip axles, been covered several times). Regardless of method, suspension mods, tires/wheels, it ain't cheap.

I suggest that you make a cardboard mock up of a larger tire size, including the width, and see how things might fit.
The wheel well may be too small, the tire might rub on the frame or spring, the tire might rub on the molding, etc.

What exact trailer are you looking at? You have posted this under pop-ups, and I just caught the dual axle wording, my mistake. We can move it where it needs to go, just need to know what brand to put it under. Others there may have done this already.

Hi, the trailer models are above. It is the dual wheel pop up. It is the Flagstaff/Rockwood unit.

It is torsion bar independant. I was hoping to either replace the tyres on the stock 14" rims, or fit new rims, but was hoping that someone had done so, or looked at doing so, already.
I haven't got the unit yet, but was interested to know.

I don't know of any way to raise torsion bar axles. Wouldn't it be cheaper/easier to just work on a drop hitch, if you think your SUV is too high to tow one. 6 inches of drop in a hitch is pretty common, and poses no problems. Cheaper to drop the hitch than to raise the trailer.

I have a drop hitch already, but some of the camping places we visit, may require additional ground clearance
