Interior ceiling lights

Hi Folks
We are new to this and just bought a 2009 Rockwood Freedom 1640LTD. Can't get the interior lights to work. We have a brand new deep cycle battery, new 25 amp and 10 amp fuses up by the battery box and all the converter fuses are good. I found one wire not connected to the plunger switch under the fold down sink. Put that right but still no joy. There is a 3 amp fuse behind the converter panel but it looks ok too.
The lights don't work on 120V either but the wall plugs do.
Tomorrow I get my old body on the driveway and check the wiring back to front.
After that I don't know where to go. Any hints?
The interior lights have little rocker switches on them, what is the off position? Is it the "0" or the "I"?
Thanks
Don

Only thing I can think of is there may be a switch near the door that controls all the lights. It may be off and that's why they aren't working

Sounds like something is messed up either the switch under the sink. Either the wires aren't connected properly or the switch may be bad.

Interior ceiling lights

Thanks for the responses.
The bulbs are good. I bypassed the switch under the sink. Nothing there. There is no panel switch for the lights. The only panel is the converter. No switches on it. There is no light switch by the door. There is a switch for the water pump near it though.
How can I test the converter to see if it is ok? When plugged in to 120V the pump, fridge and heater work but not the lights. If they work on 120V does that mean the converter is ok?
Cheers
Don

What are you using to check switches and bulbs? If you're not using a meter then you have no definite answers.

Your lights are all 12 volt DC. If none of them work, I doubt it's because of bad bulbs. Because your battery is brand new the first thing I'd check is the cables to ensure they did not get swapped on the terminals. From the battery there should be an inline fuse on the positive lead on the tongue. Other things to check are the radio and vent fans, as well as any other 12 volt items. I'd also suggest unplugging from shore power while poking around in the wiring.

Hi Guys
Thanks to all of you for your replies. After checking continuity at the lights and plunger switch I got the creeper out and went under the box. One ground wire at the tongue was broken and I found two others at the frame that were kinda rusty. Anyway after cleaning up and reattaching them we are back in business. Still don't know which one was the culprit.
Couldn't get the stove or BBQ to fire up either, but that was dirt in the hose at the tank.
On to the water system next! The water pump works so I don't expect problems but just checking for leaks. New tires are on the list too!
Thanks again.
Don
