There is a furnace in the unit. If there was not a furnace you would not have the exhaust outlet and there would also not be a grate or thermostat for the furnace. The trailer companies do not install items that are not needed. It would increase there cost. Plus as stated you also have a hot water heater.

Well I drove 2 hours and looked at the PUP today. That is definitely the furnace. Looked great, thought I was getting a killer deal. Was just about ready to hook it up and drive off when I realized that I had checked everything except under the PUP. I crawled under there to look and sure enough....rot! O well, back to the search and feeling good I didn't take it home and discover it later.
