If it is like mine, it is just a slide switch for on and off on the thermostate. Slide to the left and you should hear the fan come on. Heat will come on shortly after that. If there is no propane or if there is air in the line, the furnace will cut off after three attempts without lightning. You may have to turn it off and then back on to reset it it if that happens and you know you have propane. Sliding the switch all the way to the right will turn it off. If you turn it off while it is running, the fan will run for a short time after you turn it off but will eventually turn off. If you do not have this type, then providing your furnace model and someone should be able to help you with better info. And welcome to the forum.

I agree with Gals, I think she is spot on. That should be the way a 2318G should work. As long as you have your propane tanks turned on and turn the switch on like you do at home (pre digital read out days ) it should kick on like Gals explained.

It is a shame to hear of dealers who just send you on your way without showing you how to use anything. Mine spent a good hour and half and although some of the stuff should seem easy to use, it can be overwhelming if you haven't used some of the equipment that comes on a pop up.

Good luck!

Mine is a Suburban too, not sure the number, but probably the same. Have plenty of propane if you do use it . It does use a lot if you use it. We have a space heater too that we use to maintain in between cycles.

Yeah some dealers do not take much time. Ours just pointed out here is this and here is that . Nothing was demonstrated and I found out a lot through trial and error. BTW, It took at least three resets to get my furnace to light the first time (it was brand new). Was frustrating as it was our maiden voyage but it does heat really nice after it got started. It will use the propane too. A lot of people supplement with room heaters if they have shore power.

Bleed the propane by lighting the range and letting it burn a while. Then your furnace should light.

Congrats on your new purchase. Yeah, ours was winterized to when we picked it up on late October, but we managed to get it out once just didn't use any water stuff. Now it sits in the garage everyday looking at me beginning to go camping. Soon enough my friend. Soon enough . Post some pictures when you get yours out of storage. Someday ours will make it out to Colorado for some camping.
