zip or unzip
I bought a 2015 rockwood hw276 earlier this year and Im wondering do i need to unzip the top every time I fold the pup? I dont see why I have to but not sure and dont want to rip anything if I try. So it would be great if anyone know if or why I have to.

Yes, and it helps when you are pushing the tent sides in to close up. Push or pull the tent material in as much as possible. Try to spread the tent material out so you don't end up with a big lump that makes it harder to close.

You need to unzip it as far as I can tell.

When we lower our hw276 we found it helped to unzip and pull in the canvas towards the center, as I said. Otherwise we would get lumps above the beds that made it hard to close. We ended up doing it again until we figured that out.

I don't unzip mine...granted I have a different model, but the box is the same. I open and close it no problem without unzipping the sections.

same here with my 228BH and it has been up and down quite a few times. Dealer told me it was not necessary. But maybe hi walls are different?

I unzip my HW27SC and it makes folding in the canvas easier. I put pull strings on the zippers that makes it a lot easier to use and do not unzip all the way, about three inches from the top. Easier that trying to connect the zippers at the top everytime.

I would unzip them. We didn't completely unzip and weren't careful one time and ripped off a few teeth of the zipper on one end.

Interesting. I really never thought about it.
I have always unzipped the canvas to about 1" from the top. Not sure why other than when I first watched how to pop up a pop up, they went around and zipped it up. Seemed logical that it started unzipped if they zipped it up to set it up. I do think it aids in laying the canvas flat so as to lessen bunched up parts and allows the top to close properly.
Interesting topic.
Vin.
