Last Trip of the year from Northeast

This is the time of the year I wish we could live in the south so we can extend our camping season.
Bitter sweet trip. The weather was perfect. Time to winterize. Click image for larger version

Nice outside setup in pic 3. Like the paper towel on the awning pole.

Just got back from our last trip of the year up in Cooperstown. Glimmerglass State Park. Absolutely lovely little campground. Highly recommend it. Need to make reservations 9 moths in advance 'cause there are only like 40 spots. Now it's time for my first go at winterizing. Any helpful tips anyone? Wish me Luck.

I live in PA. I'm always sad when I have to winterize and put away.

Nice setup on both. We wanted to get out this month for the leaf season, but we are booked every weekend. Might have to driveway camp to feed the craving. But then the DW said, hey, why don't we go the first weekend in November if it isn't raining/snowing. I said yes wife. So looking for a place that's open. So excited. We love to cold weather camp. We bring water if it is below freezing or if water is off at park. Then have to winterize.

Happy camping all.

Those of us in Florida can't camp easily over the winter due to snow birds who snap up the sites for months on end. It's a bummer because that is our nice camping weather. We are stuck camping when it's hot and humid.

We should just trade. Since I snowbird in your area you should spend the summer here at the NC beach. Seriously, as a Florida snowbird I make reservations for the following year within 2 weeks of my arrival. It is getting difficult, at the nicer CGs, to get a reservation for less than 3 winter months. All CGs get crowded during summer months so we generally park the 5er June through August. We live in a beach area and boat on the Atlantic then.

Could be a very nice early November on the Eastern Shore. Or join us in Southern Utah.

Well this weekend will be our last for the year. Camper set up in the backyard, me and my daughter (maybe the DW) will spend the weekend in the camper. Saturday I will winterize and close it up Sunday afternoon. But good news I got reservations for our favorite State Park in August. We will do short weekend trips starting in March until school is out.

Happy camping to everyone!

Never considered that Camping Gator. That stinks. I guess alot of us will be looking and planning new adventures over this winter. And sharing with our fellow campers on this and other social media related sites and apps. Keep on sharing and post pics of the fun trips you made this past season
