Lift System Failure

Hi Everyone.

Has anyone had their lift system fail on a 2018 Clipper 1285SST?

Was wondering how long thr repair takes. My dealer says 4-6 weeks but I think hes taking the p**s.

I don't think I've seen any Coachmen Clipper models here as they're considered to be Coachmen campers, while Rockwood and Flagstaff are considered to be Forest River campers, even though Forest River Holding Company owns them all.

Only one camper here I seen had this happen and it was from someone leaving the roof latches 'latched' while trying to crank up the roof. It broke the tubes off. Your's seems to look the same with the tubes broken and hanging down.

They were fighting it to be a warranty claim saying that they received it like that. Not sure where it went. Haven't seen to many failures with the Goshen system. Plenty of Jayco and Fleetwood failures even though they market them as better because they're kept out of the elements in cabinetry inside the camper.

Good luck, that wait time seems reasonable for summer months.

I definately had all the latches undone.

It was actually 3/4 of the way up when the ass end came crashing down.

Sucks that I'm losing it for 4-6 weeks. Had to cancel a 2 week trip to Killbear P.P. next week.

God forbid they give me a loaner or cover a rental. If this was a new car under warranty (it may as well be, the value is that of a small car), I would be driving a replacement vehicle while repairs are completed.

I have no knowledge about the lift system on Coachman campers but was wondering if this is covered under warranty? Seems like a cable broke and this is a fairly new camper.

The Goshen lift has a lifetime warranty, but the fact that it failed after 7 trips and just over a year old is concerning.
