The limit switches are on the motor and reel that winds up the cable that raises the roof. Why you have one?...........maybe the pouch gets pre-loaded with them because most popups come with electric lift motors. Carefree of Colorado is the maker of the lift motor.

The tools is for setting your PowerWinch (motorized Folding Camper Winch) down limits switch and up limit switch.

Give that conversion to power a few serious thoughts. I've seen quite a few threads about converting to manual, but none to power, because the power winches are trouble prone. We converted to manual, because the thing would lift, but not lower. Why ask for trouble?

I wasn't aware of that......my 2012 and 2014 worked fine, never an issue. Maybe it was the older designs like on the 8+ year old pop-ups, maybe those were prone.

Not in my case. My 2012 lift shattered a gear the second or third time I went camping. Roof was being lowered and let me say, when that gear shattered the roof lowered in about one second.

A few trips later, roof would not go all the way up. Nothing like digging through a pound of grease as a campground to get to the hi-limit switch, and then find out you also have to adjust the lo-limit switch too.

The limit switches would go out of adjustment for no apparent reason other than use.

The best thing I did was yank the power lift off, throw it in the garbage and replace it with a manual lift. No more limit switches, no more wondering if it will work or not, and really not hard to crank the roof up. It's convenient when it works ok but just one more thing to break.
Talking with the local RV place I stop into for parts, he told me that they try and shy people away from getting a power lift. Too many complaints...

I can say that the difference in motors from 2012 to 2014 is significant......my 2012 had a worm driven lift system where as the 2014 had a bigger more direct drive setup.........manufacture said there was no need to grease anything......I still doused it with T-9 Boeshield........so far so good.

We also got the mystery tool/wand.
I have no idea what it's used for but I'm keeping it with the camper just in case.
