Name of part connecting canvas to bunkend

I wasn't sure where to post this, I think this is the right area, but if not, please move it

We have a 2012 Rockwood Freedom 2280 (love it). However the plastic/vinyl strip that the canvas bunkend slides into and is screwed into the bunkend plywood is split (son didn't know when to stop cranking...sigh).

I'll try to attach a photo.

Just looking for the name so hopefully we can track one down. We don't have a local dealer. Might have to contact the factory.

Thanks!

Sorry. I am not sure what you would call that. Hopefully someone here will.

I would think you could do an epoxy repair and make it as good as new.

Thanks papasmurff1 for the suggestion. We'll try that over the weekend, should be pretty easy to slide out and reinstall without a complete set up. I've got an email into FR, but no reply from their parts people yet.

I got one a few years ago, it was called awning rail. There are different sizes and styles so look closely. Any RV parts site should have them. You can get it in aluminum, never again a problem!

Awesome limblips...thanks for the lead. Now we have a name! It kinds makes sense since it is similar in shape to the rail that holds the actual awning.

okay, so I found somewhere that seems like a popular place to purchase such things. Looks like they will ship to Canada with USPS (which will save me the UPS Brokerage Fee). Just have to go home and measure the inside diametre and we'll be laughing. The aluminum ones appear to be cheaper too. Here is an example of the PVC one.

Found a place to order it in Canada (this will save on shipping, exchange, brokerage fee). Apparently to ship with USPS was more, hence I'd have to pay the brokerage fee for using UPS unless I clear it myself through customs (not going to happen). Just an update to my previous reply.

Thanks everyone.
