Naming rigs

Why don't people name their rigs like they do boats?

I wondered the same thing! We've named our new one and I'm getting vinyl lettering to christen her.

With name and port of call on the transom (rear wall)! Great idea! I had wanted to name our Solera Solly, but SWMBO said it was neither male nor Jewish!

I'm looking into getting graphics for the back of ours. We're calling it "JOURNEY TO INSANITY" to go along with the model of the MH.

Well, we finally compromised on calling her SALLY. Still unresolved as to whether SWMBO will let me put name graphics (and port of call) on the coach!

Technically, your home port would be the "hailing port," which would go on the stern of the boat (or camper). Ports of call would be the ports you called on during your trips.

Our last camper was named Senor Moment, with a little Spanish mark (there's a name for that mark, but I can't remember it) over the "N" and our hailing port underneath, just like on a boat.

Probably the new camper will be Senor Moment II. You can get great color-coordinated decals online from Decal Zone.

Truck was named Duke before it was driven off the dealers lots by the DW and only fitting to call the trailer Daisy at that point... I hurry up and posted it on facebook as well because that makes everything official and all, because the DW wanted to call it Dutchess...

X2, think it's kinda silly, but to each his own.
However, we did name the dog, Dusty.
