New camper Owner need help with a few items

I recently purchased my first camper, it is a 2009 Flagstaff Forest River 206st. It did not come with any user manuals and i am a first time owner. I googled and YouTube most of the questions I had, however I am slightly stumped on the city water hook up. I for some reason can not get the cap off that is next to what I believe is the sink drain(the one on the left) should it just screw off? do i pull it off? or is this not what i think it is?. I attached a picture, I apologize this is such a rookie question. Also I was wondering if anyone has an literature or can direct me to a site that i can find out how to turn the Refrigerator on when hooked up to electrical only.

If so, your hose just screws into it.
Give us a close up for a better answer.

The fitting on the left is for water in. Use a pressure reducer fitting and a drinking water hose. The right fitting will unscrew to the left and you will use a fitting with a hose adapter to drain. Enjoy you new camper, I had a 206st for years without issue.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, the cap is broken and missing and just covers the hole, i kept trying to turn the whole thing instead of just pulling the plug out! haha thanks for your help, i am super excited to start camping and Im glad to hear that i picked a good camper!!

Welcome! As a new camper you'll find tons of info on these boards (I did!).

As a previous poster mentioned, you can find an adapter for your grey water drain to connect to a hose to collect the grey water.

For your fridge question, is there a panel just below your pic above that can be removed? I have a similar model and the controls for the fridge are in there (propane switch along with electric).

You should be able to get the make and model number of the fridge and download a manual, from the manufacturer's website.

First off... a new rig with a manual isn't much help anyway. The manual usually covers several models and can be confusing and arbitrary they way they present things.
Most manuals if you want to call them that can be accessed online and downloaded in pdf file for free. New rigs will come with a pile of papers and booklets pertaining to stove, HW, AC, TV, refrigerator, axle, wheels, etc. All of this information can be accessed and downloaded online.

Your best education and quick answers to most issues and questions is on this forum. Be specific in your question and description what your year and model is, attach picture if possible and don't worry about what it's called that's not as important as what's the problem, question along with details.
Guaranteed you'll be a master of your unit on that subject soon. Everybody has to learn it somewhere at sometime. Why not learn it from fellow campers that have the same rig.

Fitting on the left is, as you have learned, for city water in. The one on the right looks to me like a fill for your on board fresh water storage tank. Guess it COULD be a sink drain but I have not seen one like that.

Fridge... should default to electric if you are plugged in. There is usually a control on or inside of the fridge door allowing you to select three modes, OFF, PROPANE and AUTO. Auto will go to electric if it senses that electricity is available. Sometimes there is a selector or switch on the outside of the unit. Access panel should come off pretty easily with a twist of 1/4 turn on the fasteners. You will want to be able to get in there anyway. You should see a round 'stack'.. like a small chimney. It should get warm (or HOT, so be careful) if fridge is trying to cool, whether from electric or from propane.

Jerry, the OP has a popup, which have small 3-way fridges and posted this thread in the Tent Camper and Popup section. You have to select which source you want the fridge to connect to: 12v DC, 120v AC or propane.

They don't operate like the 2-way fridge you're describing.

On mine, I had a outside drain next to where the city water goes in. I got an plumbing 1 1/2" quick connect elbow and about 6' of pipe and had its drain in a 5 gal. bucket. Comes as a kit for house sink J trap. That way when you drain your sink, you do not have a mud hole outside by your trailer. When the bucket gets full, I just emptied under a tree.

For the CAP issue. Channel Locks and a "LIGHT" grip. Sometimes as those fittings age, the caps can stick and are hard to remove. I use to keep Channel locks in our old popup just for that reason.

FWIW- I have a Rockwood Freedom, 1950 pop-up. I do not have solar, just the usual marine type of battery that comes standard. I cannot run my refrigerator while traveling as it runs down my battery. I only use it on shore power.

Probably because the tow vehicle's charging wire isn't providing any juice.
Have you tested your 7-pin connector?

Or since it's a 3-way, why aren't you running it on the propane side?

I recently bought a multi-meter, so I 'll check it out. However, I' m old fashioned and refuse to run while burning the propane . Coolers and ice work well for mr while traveling! To each his own!

Some vehicles have to be told they are in "tow mode" via some setting to activate the 12V power source to the trailer. Might want to check if that is the situation. You should be able to run the refrigerator on 12V car power indefinitely as long as the car is running and providing power to the 7 pin.
