New Cassette Toilet Pop Up owners, beware.
My new camper's cassette toilet has been leaking out and running under the shower cabinet and spilling on the floor.
It's been intermittent so I thought I had just not pushed the cassette in correctly.
Anyhow, it did it on my last trip and wouldn't stop leaking. I sprayed silicone spray on the seal under advisement from dealer and thetford customer support. It didn't do any good.
Well at night, while using a flashlight, I noticed the seal looked weird. Looking from the side of the seal, I seen it now. It was deformed and had an low impression in just one spot. Obviously this was the problem as it couldn't seal and let the water run right out, onto the top of the cassette and down the side to the floor.
So to new owners as myself, before using your cassette toilet, CHECK YOUR SEAL. It could save a lot of inconvenience, frustration, and clean up.
