the HW296 has a "dry" weight of 3135lbs. it's GVWR is 4573lbs.
the fictional "dry" weight does not count the weights of "options", water, battery, propane and cargo.
and you have to subtract the weights of anything in the T&C, other than a 150lb. driver.
so, if the wife weighs 150lb. and you weigh 200lbs. and you have 100lbs. of cargo in the van, you now can only tow 3300lbs.
which leaves only 300lbs. for cargo, battery, propane, water, "options".
you'll be over the van's max towing capacity quite easily.
you'll get much better gas mileage, in your truck, pulling the Rockwood, over pulling the full-height Jayco.
