Smile New Owner of used Pop-up trailer needs advice.

Hello, this is our first camper, we enjoyed it this summer and now that it is getting cold out, I have no idea as to how to drain the water tank. Cannot find any drain anywhere. So I turned to this forum. I hope you can help.
It is a Rockwood Pop-up, year is 1999. Has anyone an owners manual or advice as to how to empty the water tank....

Thanks,

Rick

Welcome to the forum
The tank on my palomino was under the bench seat. You had to open the seat and the valve was attached to the tank and a short hose ran to the outside. I put a valve on the outside so it was easier to empty.

I'll move this to Popups so it gets more exposure.

Also, we have an old manual from 2004 for Rockwood pups but I honestly don't know if t will be any help to you. Here it is just in case it is usefull.

Thanks for the replies!

I will check them out tomorrow. Hope it works. Getting pretty cold at nite here. I have been manually pumping the sink faucet. I read in the manuals on this site that there may be an electric pump, I never found one but it would be faster! LOL

Thanks again for your replies.

Rick

if your faucet has a pump handle, then that means you don't have an electric water pump.
if you did, the faucet would look like your home one and there would be a red switch marked "water pump".
we had two popups and neither had a electric water pump, just the manual pump faucet.

We added a ShurFlo demand pump to our pop up aftre we got tired of hand pumping. Work fine on a std pop-up style sink fawcet.

We even removed it when we moved to larger TT's so now I have a spare.

My drain plug on my 2280 in underneath the trailer. I had to lay on the ground to see it under there.
