No water from hot side of faucets in MAC 246d

I bought a 2014 very lightly used (1 time) from a guy who tried to tutor me as best as he could on my camper. He didn't use many of the features of the unit. I can't figure out why there is no water coming from the hot side of the sink or shower faucets. I have water connected at the campground and cold works fine. Is there a valve somewhere on the water heater that needs to be turned on? I fired the propane burner thinking it had water going to it so probably ruined the water heater already.

You may have the water heater on bypass due to winterizing.

In my HW296 I remove a panel near the water heater (locate water heater on outside and look inside at same location) there are two knobs, if at right angle to the tube, that is off, if parallel to tube is on. You can see the tube that bypasses the water heater and if it is on, and the other is off, that is why you have no hot water. then. Turn each knob 90 degrees to close the bypass and let water enter and exit the water heater. Is the anode tube on the heater in good shape?

That was it. Water heater fired back up and worked as well. Thanks!
