LOL I have one of those too for my used 228D and just used a 4MM alan wrench to set the limits.....

Not sure what it is either, but I had ordered a new PowerWinch and one like that was in the package. No place in the manual mentioned it either!

It is for adjusting the upper and lower limits. An Alan wrench suffices though. 3.5 or 4 mm
