We used ours all the time. I finally had to get rid of it because it had rusted out. Should not have kept in on the side of the TT all the time and not cover it. Would purchase a new one if could find one a great price.

I too had a concern about cooking with the RVQ attatched to the side. Although we sold our hybrid years ago here's a link to what I came up so I could use it away from the camper. I brought the grill to a local LP dealer and he fitted me up with a longer hose with the correct connectors on each end. I got the table from WalMart and modifiied a screen door grill for the stand. BTW, I thought our RVQ worked pretty good.

Only problem we've had with the grill and smoke is it kept setting off the smoke detector inside the trailer..Ended up just keeping the window behind the grill closed.

I used my grill on the side of my A128s this weekend.

Yup... set off the smoke detector when the door opened (We were running the air conditioner at that time.).

At this point, my wife freaked.

She would have vented the trailer with the fan, but alas, her arms were too short to reach the controls. I would have helped her but I was the one burning the food.

It was a hoot!

Our PUP is new and we loved ours. But, it took a bit of playing to get the propane to work well. We had to make sure the hose wasn't pulled too tight which was a challenge with a short hose. But once it got working, it was fine. We set the smoke detector off once, but I just closed the window closest to the BBQ and it was fine.

How about a pic of the underneath side of the control knob? Sometimes you can put the pcs together and pour the underneath side full of epoxy to form a solid back. Had to do that on a window knob when we couldn't get a replacement while we were camping.

We use our RVQ all the time and prefer this to cooking inside. No problem with smoke or grease. The window above is closed with AC usually on. I sometimes use aluminum foil inside grill to "try" to reduce cleanup.

You stay the he** out of it! She's in the house and I'm out in the garage. BTW, the land line has been disconnected.

Also, BTW, you need to get your shock package ordered and installed. You DW said so.

The control knob is locked up, all other parts are fine, but wondered about taking a table top gas grill and robbing parts. Not sure if it is low pressure or not though

Start soaking the control knob with WD40 and working it. Probably corroded. Remove it, remove the knob and put it in a container of WD40 overnight.

It is the mechanism that is messed up, not really a freeze up...

If you had the RVQ regulator go south on you, I could have assisted you. I had the RVQ low pressure regulator removed by the RV dealer when they put in a line for my unit.

Its in my collection drawer in my garage in bubble wrap in event someone needs one. No dial though. sorry

We have a rockwood 2280 that came with the grill. I went on ebay and bought an extra hose so we could put grill on table instead of side of camper. Worked great

So what do u guys use for a heat shield or stand when using your gas grill on the picnic table? I like this idea but don't want to burn the table. We seem to find burned tables at lots of camp sites.

I'm not saying its you guys burning the tables ... Lol. Just curious.

The rack that fits on the side of the camper can be turned 90 d and set on a table and the rods hold the grill about 8" off the table top. No problems with heat on the table.

Never thought of that. I'm not sure mine will allow that (A126 RV500 grill) but I'll check it out next time I'm out.

It should. My A128s RV Grill will do it. (There is a "T" shaped connector on the grill that the stand fits in.)

BTW: I am still trying to find a low cost 10' (or there abouts) extension hose for my grill. Anyone have any recommendations (must be cheap!).
