Parafin vs seam sealer

New 2014 1950 pop up. I watered and dried all of the seams. I now want to seal them.

The manual says to use wax or paraffin. I have seen message threads on this board about using seam sealants.

The problem with Seam sealants, as far as I can tell, is the cure time.

I am not in a position to leave my PUP set up overnight at the moment and I would want any kind of seem sealant to completely dry before I close it. Having used this kind of stuff on tents in the past, I'm afraid material might end up stuck together.

So my question is, will paraffin wax do the job for me?

Do the seams leak? We have not sealed our seams and we have had our hw277 for 5 years now and not a drop of water inside at all.

Yes some seems leaked a bit when I first watered them, so I just want to double up and seal the seams

It may leak the first time but the threads swell when wetted and should now seal the seams. That is the purpose of wetting the canvas the first time. Have you wetted it a second time to see if the threads sealed? I would do that first.
