Not quite. A 30 amp extension has TT30 connectors on the ends and generator cords have twist lock connections. It would only work if you have a removable marinco cord and a 30 amp 120 generator cord. In fact, when I move my trailer to the street for loading, that is how I extent my cord from my outlet by the garage.

They have a learning curve too . Just buy a 30AMP extension cord from WalMart like kc8lvy said. When you decide to upgrade to a different camper, it will eventually happen, you'll be set. We bought a 30AMP extension cord when we had our popup with AC. Traded it in after 3 years for a hybrid and 3 years after that we got a TT. Used the same 30AMP extension for all of them. Our current 5th wheel is 50AMP so now the cord just sits in our basement.

I am still not convinced you have a 30 amp unit.
The manuals are usually generic, so that may tell us nothing.
My pop-up that did not have a furnace, heater, nor a fridge was only a 15 amp trailer and the manual talked about 30 and 50 amp services.

A picture of the male plug end coming out of your camper and or a picture of your converter would settle this.

It the boat has a power cord it is the same type used on a RV.

We do have a shore power cord from a previous boat that we have never used. Would that be a 30amp too?

A lot of the newer units have them as opposed to the cord that is permanently attached to the rig.

My wal-mart actually had a cheaper version in stock, it did not have the fancy yellow grip connectors, but was clear and lighted (bulbs burned out pretty quick) for around 20-25 bucks. That is not much more than a decent heavy duty extension cord.

I dont think anyone mentioned before, but basically all pop-ups came with 30 amp service once they started pre-wiring all the roofs for A/C so it could be added by dealer.

You already have the 20-30 amp adapter from prior owner, so I would just pick up the cheapest 30 amp cord as the few bucks more you spend over a regular extension cord may come in handy down the road. you will be able to leave the 20 amp outlet free on your campground pedestal for running stuff outside should you want to, and will have more power inside if you ever upgrade.
