gizmo

Thanks again to the idea I got here about using emergency space blankets on the bunk ends of my popup...got them from Cabelas. They are good quality and easily secured with bungees. The reflective material from Lowes was also "cool" to use on the windows. Very much helps against the sun/heat here in Florida, and as was stated, provides privacy too. Used them last summer, effective at keeping debris off the bunks as well. Held up pretty well in stiff breezes. Standard equipment now on my pup along with bunk end fans. Thanks also to the suggestion to change out standard bulbs for LED's, this has also helped cool the interior and reduce electrical consumption.

Talking

I just got my Gizmo's and will try them out next week.
I did not get the velcro sewed into the top edge but want to do that myself.
How did you attach the velcro to the trailer, I have the HW 29SC?
Do you need velcro to run the entire edge of the gizmo or can you attach in segments?

I cut my Velcro into 2 in strips and spaced them equally apart, I used the 3m kind and then stapled it, if you use the Velcro make sure you move Velcro down to the weather striping and on the gizmo even with edge.

The underside of the top is wood. I just ran the velcro on the wood and used a staple gun to staple about ever six inches. I used a full length of velcro. Has been ok for almost two years.
And in my case, velcro was necessary. First time I tried the gizmos on a windy day I gave up after about twenty minutes. Sent them back to have velcro sewn in, and never looked back. But I'm a single camper. If there were two it would probably would have been better.

I have not installed the velcro on the pop up yet but plan on stapling it across the top also. I will not even try to use sticky stuff. Just gonna staple it an be done with it.

Vin.

How many inches from the lower edge is best to staple the Velcro?
