I made my own out of reflectix from a hardware store. It will made a world of difference, heating and cooling. Plus it adds some privacy from the backlighted "strip show" when somebody changes clothes at night. LOL!

Slide them between the screen and inner flaps. Just unzip enough to get them in there. Careful cutting will allow them to fit snug.

just a note, Reflectix is wayyy more fragile than PUGs and will easily tear in a strong wind.
most popup and hybrid owners use Reflectix in the tent end windows.

True. I never made anything for across the bunks, only for the ends and sides.

I too received a set of PUG Gizmo's for Christmas. They look good.

I paid an extra $10 to have velcro sewn along the top edge so I can attach it to the roof prior to lifting. It keeps it tunked under the lip of the roof so the rain cannot get under the PUG.

Cannot wait to give them a try.

I previously used refletix for the bunk end roof tops but found that they rolled up rather large and took a lot of storage space. I used to store it under the dinette table but the new unit has a smaller square table and they will not fit. The PUG take up much less storage. I think they will work out well.

Vin.

gizmo

Thanks again to the idea I got here about using emergency space blankets on the bunk ends of my popup...got them from Cabelas. They are good quality and easily secured with bungees. The reflective material from Lowes was also "cool" to use on the windows. Very much helps against the sun/heat here in Florida, and as was stated, provides privacy too. Used them last summer, effective at keeping debris off the bunks as well. Held up pretty well in stiff breezes. Standard equipment now on my pup along with bunk end fans. Thanks also to the suggestion to change out standard bulbs for LED's, this has also helped cool the interior and reduce electrical consumption.

Talking

I just got my Gizmo's and will try them out next week.
I did not get the velcro sewed into the top edge but want to do that myself.
How did you attach the velcro to the trailer, I have the HW 29SC?
Do you need velcro to run the entire edge of the gizmo or can you attach in segments?

I cut my Velcro into 2 in strips and spaced them equally apart, I used the 3m kind and then stapled it, if you use the Velcro make sure you move Velcro down to the weather striping and on the gizmo even with edge.

The underside of the top is wood. I just ran the velcro on the wood and used a staple gun to staple about ever six inches. I used a full length of velcro. Has been ok for almost two years.
And in my case, velcro was necessary. First time I tried the gizmos on a windy day I gave up after about twenty minutes. Sent them back to have velcro sewn in, and never looked back. But I'm a single camper. If there were two it would probably would have been better.

I have not installed the velcro on the pop up yet but plan on stapling it across the top also. I will not even try to use sticky stuff. Just gonna staple it an be done with it.

How many inches from the lower edge is best to staple the Velcro?
