Being a recent convert from tent camping to camping with the little A Frame trailer in 2012 I still do things the same way as when tent camping in bear country. It did seem odd to me that people in trailers did things in bear country that tent campers have always been warned not to do like; store food inside, cook inside, keep the clothes you cooked in inside, keep pans, stoves, cooking utensils etc and storing toiletries. Not trying to be insulting to anyone but I don’t care how sturdy your trailer is to a determined bear it isn’t any more of a challenge than a nylon tent. I know storing all these items in a vehicle won’t stop a bear either but at least I’m not sleeping with what is attracting them. Nothing is 100% safe but I’ve had close calls while tenting even in the day and it was always due to lazy campers not keeping sites clean and leaving coolers out.

I'm basically doing the same as well. Don't plan on using the fridge in bear country, will continue storing food and cooking items in the car, etc. But whereas I usually peed pretty close to the tent instead of 100 yards away, I'm considering using the cassette toilet
