possibility of roof damage??

Happy New Year All,

The question I have for the group is if a 60 pound 7 year old walks on top of the roof when the camper is closed and in the snow is there a possibility of damaging it? And where should I look??

I have 2012 Rockwood Freedom 1940LTD.

PS. Yes I know the other question is why the heck was he on the roof.

Thanks,

bbodnar

My worries is how cold was it out and whether they were just walking or jumping on the roof. I would be brushing off the snow and looking for a stress crack from the cold temps.

LOL The answer was absolutely I don't know!!!

It was either freezing or below here yesterday so it was cold. I just got in from brushing off the snow and checking for cracks around the air vent. I will go out again and look closer. I was going to cover the camper with a tarp as well.

Thanks for the feedback I knew someone would have a good answer!!

The story goes like this:

I was making coffee in the kitchen and look out the window and see footprints in the snow on top of the camper. I ask 3 of my 4 kids, why are there foot prints on top of the camper? The blanks stares begin now.. My next comment was you know I can tell by the size of the foot prints who was on the camper!! Then the not me's begin. Turns out my oldest who is seven wanted to jump off the roof and into the snow, or at least that is what I have gotten so far. What a way to start the new year!!

Do you have a rubber (EPDM) roof membrane or fiberglass? If it's EPDM, I highly doubt any damage occured unless he trampled on a roof vent or a sky light.

The roof is fiberglass, I was out again I see no visible cracks anywhere or near vent. Hopefully we dodged a bullet.

Prob ok being its a newer unit and hasn't seen years of sun yet.

We only have one child at age 14. Constantly getting the "wasn't me" out of that mouth. she doesn't get is that if something is broken-we only have one child to blame!

I used to weigh 340 pounds, a little older than your son, went up there numerous time to wash the roof, no problems, they are built very tough!
