Power

Ok have a question, was camping with 2 friends that just bought TT and they both installed hardwired surge protectors and power boosters. They both said I should install the surge n a booster in my pup (rockwood hw276) I have a progressive ssp30 but I think it only checks wiring n protects surge not low power.

I have a progressive EMS-HW30C hardwired into my system. It protects against high and low voltage from Low <104, High 132>. Also protects against other problems. Not a power booster, I believe it just cuts off the circuits if voltage drops below 104V

X2. Progressive makes a very decent EMS.. both portable and hardwired, but they are not boosters. Frank's is probably the most popular EMS/booster, but is considerably more expensive and I personally don't believe it's worth the additional expense. Of course, it's extremely rare that I ever "plug in" so I might be bias.

I 'would' highly recommend a good EMS though.

Is a booster really needed for a popup? I can't imagine it can run a AC system, so you lose some AC plugs, and if on AC for fridge, you can always switch to propane. Then just the batteries will take over for lights/heater, etc.
