Ring way cable

The cable was rolled out all the way and left run which the cable starts going backwards when rolling the wrong way, now roll out the cable and let keep going and it starts pulling up the right way,I know I have done it.

Thanks for everyone's input. The camper is down now and very little cable is on the spool so I'm planning on hand cranking to feed all the cable out and then getting it to feed from the bottom of the spool. I am hopeful that that won't mess up the actual stop points if I don't use the power lift to get it started the correct way. Just one of life's little frustrations. Thanks again everyone.

Have you reversed it yet? If you need a power winch manual, I have one and can send it to your email.

Would love a manual

I'm on vacation in California now so it will be a week or so before I can try and reverse it. I would appreciate a manual on the wrench system very much. My email is Robert.gage@sbcglobal.net. I still can't really see how it happened since the cable at the time the roof is open is fully reeled on the spool unless it was done at the end after the roof was down. If it was at the end my son-in-law must have done a lot of cranking after the roof was fully down. Anyway I appreciate all the responses because it seems I learn best from my stupid mistakes. I try hard not to repeat them. I'm going to try an reverse it while it's in the lowered position and most of the cable is already off the spool. Is that the correct method of attack?
