Pull out step

Ground clearance seems pretty good on my HW277
But the step is the lowest point and it keeps getting bent on curbs,dips and anything else that I could possibly find to get it caught on lol.
Sink was thinking about either getting rid of it and just using a portable step or finding a low profile singe step. Anyone know of a good replacement single step to replace my double?
Any model number or brand would be great.
Have had camper out 2 times since we bought it and can barley open it up to the full 2 steps anyway. We like to drycamp so ground is usually rough and not level.

Like you mentioned maybe one of those folding step/stools may be the best way to go and just remove the installed step.

Try having a HW296 with a single step to hard to get into, my 2010 HW296 had a single and I change it to a Dual that I bought from my next door neighbors camping store.
I get neighbor discount.
I traded that in for a 2018 HW296 which came with the dual Step.

I just crushed my steps on my HW277 this weekend (camper fell into an unseen hole while towing). Does anyone know the brand used by FR? Is it Lippert? Looks like all I have to do is remove the 4 bolts from the step frame.
