Questions after a first trip out

Hello. We just finished our first camping trip in a new to us HW277. It was great but have left me with a couple of questions.

1. For those who own a high wall series or large pop up how cold does the AC get. It seems my AC cycles very often thus just blowing around air and not cooling it for awhile. Any ideas on how to fix this? Is there a thermostat adjustment or anything?

2. My slide seems to sag a little bit. I have to pick it up to get it on the cotter pins. Is there any way to adjust the slide for the dinette.

3. How tight should the guide wire be for the roof? If mine is not extremely tight my door does not like to fit in the clips on the top. Also the left side of my door frame has a gap between in and the camper. Any ideas on how to fix this.

Thanks for your help.

I can answer #1. Do the Reflectix mod for all the tent end windows. Get some PUGS or space blankets for the outside of the tent end roofs. Even though this pic is from our previous hybrid I did the same thing when we had our HW pup. If you look closely the Reflectix (aluminum faced bubble wrap from Home Depot) is in the tent end windows between the screen and window flaps.

You can go to PopUp Explorer - Index and do a search for both.

Sorry it really doesn't answer your question for #1 but my reply will help you keep cooler.

+1 on the Pop Up Gizmos. They also offer wraps for inside the bed ends. Haven't tried those, but I'll swear by the Gizmos.

#2 on the popup Gizmos. And if a person camps alone, I highly recommend the velcro strips for ease of attachment to the trailer...

As for the guide wire, I would guess it is different between trailers. Mine has a bit fo slack in it and the door fits tight, but it fits. A friend of mine has one and his guide wire has even more slack than mine and the door fits ok.
I guess I would ask if the trailer is leveled, side-to-side and front-to-back.

For #3 there should be some slack. Should look like a loose guitar string when you flick it. Do you know if it was level. When I owned a camper, not being level would cause the top to be off balance.

Not using the stabilizer jacks as a ways to level the trailer.
