Raising the camper

The manual crank to raise the camper broke off. The battery is charged but when I flip the switch it blows the 50amp fusable link. Can the camper be raised by plugging it into the truck and running off that? Is there a wiring diagram for the electric winch set-up so I know I have things connected properly? Is it supposed to be a 50 amp fusable link? Would much appreciate any help, thanks.

If you broke the manual crank, and the motor blows a 50 amp fuse, something has it stuck. Are all the latches released, if there are any? Can you rock each corner up by hand? Something has it locked up, could be the motor. When is the last time it was raised and lowered? I wouldn't hook the truck to it, as that is at best 12 gauge wire, good for about 15~20 amps. You could blow a fuse or damage wiring on the truck, more $$$$$

Raising the camper

Windrider,
Thanks for your help. The camper hasn't been raised/lowered since last Fall. This was the first time opening it this year. I will check with a dealership to replace the winch motor with screw so that I can manually crank it up and get a wiring diagram too.
