Refrigerator propane catches fire on high...2010 flagstaff mac 205
We recently purchased a 2010 flagstaff mac 205 used. We wanted to use the fridge on the propane setting and so we attempted lighting the pilot light. It took some effort and cleaning out a spider Web but we got it lit. We had it set on low for about an hour then switched it to high. I heard a popping noise and thankfully my husband was standing close by because it caught fire behind the pilot light peep space. While attempting to ignight it this happened a few times but we figured it was air in the lines....any other reasons for this? We obviously shut it off immediately and haven't tried to use it since. It's strange that it was fine on low but on high it caught fire... thanks in advance!

Mine has three positions, Low, medium and High.
My suggestion is not to screw around with it, get it professionally serviced. Don't want it starting fire when someone is not around or you are fast asleep.

It has three options; low, medium and high. You need to have it on high when igniting the pilot...I assume this the gas flow level.

If this is catching fire, then you need to have a fridge guy look at it. You do not want to mess with propane and fire. That is bad.

X 2 it could also be lethal, if you are asleep when it decides to do this.
either way it is not a safe thing to be doing, have it checked out by a professional.

Need to explain caught fire. On older models, before automatic pilots, there were two flame positions. One at the pilot level and then one to cool that was quite a bit higher. But, if you had spider webs up in there I would definitely get it checked by and authorized service dealer.
