Replacement parts

Hello,

We just purchased a used 2005 Rockwood pop-up. It is missing the power cords for the heated mattresses. Any one know where I can purchased new ones? It is model 1910. We also would like to buy the optional hanging pantry if we can find it.

Also, does it normally take a long time for the fridge to cool?

Thank you!

We start fridge 2 days before leaving.
And fill it one day before.

I either fire mine up the night before and fill it in the morning or fire it up in the morning and load it at noon depending on what time of day we plan to leave.

Refrain from putting a bunch of warm beverages in it just before you leave or right when you get to cg.
Make sure everything you put in is either frozen or cool.

I do minimum 12 hours for the fridge and like turbo said I try to refrain from putting warm stuff it in when I load it up

can you take a picture of the plug for the heated mattress - might make it easier to help you with which controller you need

I recently took my heated mattress out and put in a 10" memory foam replacement and have the controller from my old bed

I've only had experience with my small (my wife says too small) Dometic refrigerator in my A128. I usually turn it to 12 volt just before or during hook up. My wife loads it just prior to my turning it on.

Our main trick (if it is a trick) is to place a few frozen drinking water bottles in the unit to help expedite the cooling. We used to do this with our old Coleman cooler when we tent camped as well. All other items are fresh from the freezer or refrigerator at loading. No warm drinks or other food items are added at this time.
After unhooking and during setup of the trailer, I immediately switch the refrigerator to gas or shore power.

This seems to get the refrigeratror down to a reasonable level quickly. So far, we haven't had any problems with foods being compromised by heat. I monitor the unit's temperature with a small pocket thermometer.

I have had problems with cooling if the side of the camper is in heavy sunshine. This appears to reduce heat exchange efficiency. I've tried to counter this with a single cooling fan to keep the refrigerator compartment vented and hopefully a little cooler.

Seems nobody answered your question about replacement parts, unless i just skimmed over it. go to the forest river website and then find a dealer. i just picked up a 1990 rockwood, and it seems you can't find anything online for anything. you have to go through a dealership.

I'm in the same boat. I tried to use my mattresses for th first time since I bought it used last fall. The mattress has a rectangular outlet with 2 prongs and the cord I was given with the trailer is oval shaped with 3 holes. I'm looking to buy the proper cord but can't seem to find a supplier. Any help?

Replacement heated mattress plug

I had the same issue, we were missing one on out 2011 Rockwood. The ONLY place I could find is was at Flair Outlet Store, Furnishings with Flair!. They had pretty quick shipping and it worked as advertised. This is for the oval outlet with 3 prongs...ETL-2. Hope this helps,

Scott

Thanks Scott but those are the cords I have and they don't fit my mattress. My mattress outlet is rectangular. Its about 1 1/8" x 3/8" with 2 prongs. Thats the cord I need to find.

I would contact Sam Buckles at Forest River for the missing power cords and he should be able to get the information you need from the parts department. He was a tremendous help to us on several items on our popup.
