Rockwood 12V Problem

Hello

Just took my new Rockwood 242XR popup trailer out for the second time this year and everything worked great while hooked up to shore power. When I got home I was cleaning out the trailer and noticed that none of the lights or the vent fan was working when not connected to shore power. I checked the battery and the 25 amp fuse located near the battery and everything was fine. Any thoughts on what is causing this problem.

Check all of the 12 volt lines for good, clean connections.

What did you check on your battery?

My guesses would be either the battery is dead (check voltage with a voltmeter. Its dead if below 10.5V) or a bad connection somewhere (clean the battery terminals and check the battery cables and connections. Tighten the connections as needed).

Is there a safety switch inside the trailer. On our pup if the sink was not put in the up position you would not have any power inside the trailer
