Just got back from a great trip at Fort desoto! We have a new Rockwood and when we raise and lower the roof with the power lift it kinda shakes around a bit and the winch itself really clicks and clanks( fairly loud)for lack of a better description. Is that just the cable winding up on itself? Is this normal for the roof to bounce around or should it be a smooth movement?
We have a 2012 model of the 1940LTD. Ours also shakes. Generally we move it a foot or so and when the shaking gets bad we stop, tuck the tent in, then go back at lowering. I do know that when using the power lift/down the camper must be level.

When was the last time you added grease to the "cable housing" underneath your trailer?
